Website Design
Isle of Moja [major project]
This is my final University major project piece which is isleofmoja.com. A Flash website about a fictional island, inhabited by two unique and conflicting communities. The underlying metaphor is for peace and equality. I have utilized actionscript and illustrator skills to make the experience as interactive and convincing as possible.
Hughes Furniture
This is a website which I was commisioned to develop for Hughes Furniture who manufacture and supply contemporary bedroom and living/dining furniture throughout the UK and Ireland. I was responsible for the entire web design and construction. The content is structured in squares reminiscent of the three squares in the company logo.
Cara Murphy Silversmith
Cara Murphy is a very successful in Northern Ireland and everyone in my year group was required to develop a website for her company. My design is quite contemporary in keeping with Cara's Silversmith approach. On each page a bold grey line divides the logo and preview image from the main content.
AJAX website [Web 2.0]
This is a website created using he new Web 2.0 language AJAX and is built using the Backbase framework. This was a piece of University coursework, where I was required to redesign our module website using AJAX and making it as efficient and well structured as possible. Best results using Firefox.
Logo Branding
My Little Robot
My little Robot is a fictional website idea, for which I was asked to develop an appropriate Logo design. My Little Robot allows users to create their own robot and use it to fight other users’ robots. The Black and red design is symbolic of the fight aspect of the idea.
Isle of Moja
The Isle of Moja Logo has been simplified to using a single typeface called Interlock which I purchased at a cost. Originally I experimented with san-serif typefaces and curves which represented the islands coastline however I feel that the websites illustration speaks loudly enough that the logo should be a simple but appropriate island typeface.
Cara Murphy Silversmith
This is the Branding logo that I created for the Cara Murphy website. Using a serif typeface called Episode, I wanted to represented the curves reminiscent of Cara’s Silversmith work. I have also used a separating black line to maintain the contemporary feel of Cara’s work.
